About me
I am an experienced and dedicated physiotherapy lecturer practitioner. I split my regular working week teaching seeing clients and teaching undergraduate physiotherapists. I also work at Spire Harpenden helping people immediately following joint replacement surgery some weekends.
I use the most up-to-date medical research to help people understand and improve the way their body works to improve function, reduce pain, optimise healing, reduce injury and improve overall well-being.
After graduating in 1998 from Birmingham University, I worked in teaching hospitals and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital before travelling to Australia to complete my Masters in 2004.
Since 2004 I have split my time working with patients and teaching undergraduate Physiotherapists in Universities in London and locally. This enables me to ensure high quality of care to my patients, continuous conversation with colleagues across our healthcare delivery and also help inform for our next generation of therapists.
Other specialist areas of work include the London Hypermobility Centre and the London Foot and Ankle Clinic. I am a trained Pilates instructor using Pilates principles in exercise prescription.
Work Well Physiotherapy Ltd combines my knowledge and skills in Physiotherapy from both lecturing and practicing to provide a broad and holistic understanding of your problem, provide individualised treatment and support to enable return to optimal function and well-being. Being seen in your own environment helps develop a deeper understanding of your problem, reducing symptoms quicker and ensure longer standing resolution.
